Baseball Recap: West Monona Comes Up Short

West Monona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Kingsley-Pierson Panthers, falling 11-1. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in June of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Monona's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Kingsley-Pierson, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

West Monona wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-8 loss against Lawton-Bronson on the 13th. As for Kingsley-Pierson, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union on the 12th.
