Softball Game Preview: Darrington Loggers vs. Friday Harbor Wolverines

Darrington hasn't had much luck against Friday Harbor recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Loggers will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. Darrington has given up an average of 13 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Darrington came up short against Coupeville on Thursday, falling 24-2. The Loggers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Friday Harbor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Chimacum on Saturday as they made off with a 20-9 win.

Friday Harbor's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Darrington, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Darrington was able to grind out a solid win over Friday Harbor when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 9-6. Will the Loggers repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
