Lighthouse Private Christian Academy is a perfect 3-0 against West Florida Baptist Academy since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Stingrays will look to defend their home field against the Conquerors at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
On Monday, Lighthouse Private Christian Academy needed a bit of extra time to put away Aletheia Christian Academy. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Lions. That's two games straight that the Stingrays have won by just one run.

Ezekiel Rycroft was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Adrian Freitez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Garin Grant, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Lighthouse Private Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aletheia Christian Academy only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, West Florida Baptist Academy got the win against Gulf Pointe Latin on Monday by a conclusive 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Conquerors, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Like Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, West Florida Baptist Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Trey Hughes. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Hughes has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for West Florida Baptist Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise.
In other batting news, West Florida Baptist Academy got a big performance out of Ethan Salter, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The Conquerors are undefeated when Salter posts two or more runs, but 4-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Baron Gray, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Lighthouse Private Christian Academy's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lighthouse Private Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like West Florida Baptist Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Lighthouse Private Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over West Florida Baptist Academy in their previous matchup back in March, winning 6-1. Do the Stingrays have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Conquerors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
