Basketball Recap: Blevins Takes a Loss

If Blevins was feeling good fresh off their 58-25 takedown of Kirby on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets took a blow against the Ouachita Warriors on Thursday, falling 66-36. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Blevins' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Ouachita, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Blevins will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mineral Springs at 5:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Ouachita, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-30 victory against Emerson on the 21st.
