Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Eagles vs. North County Christian
The Liberty Christian Academy Eagles won the last time they faced North County Christian, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Liberty Christian Academy walked away with a 46-35 win over North County Christian.
Liberty Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lauren Moss out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 20 rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Moss has scored at least a third of Liberty Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Steward, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
North County Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Sarita Lopez and Sarita Rao. Lopez scored 19 points, while Rao scored 13 points.
The win got Liberty Christian Academy back to even at 10-10. As for North County Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Liberty Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mississippi Valley Christian at 4:30 a.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Liberty Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday. As for North County Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Christian Fellowship at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Christian Fellowship focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday.
