Basketball Recap: Frankenmuth Piles Up the Points Against Alma

Frankenmuth won the last time they faced Alma and things went their way on Friday too. The Frankenmuth Eagles simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Alma Panthers 64-36. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Frankenmuth was led to victory by Macy Donovan and Alyson Peterson. Donovan went 8-for-12 to rack up 20 points and five assists, while Peterson dropped a double-double with 17 points and ten boards. Thanks to that strong game, Donovan now owns an excellent 45.2% shooting accuracy. Clare Conzelmann was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Frankenmuth's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. As for Alma, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Coming up, Frankenmuth will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rockford will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Frankenmuth surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alma, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
