Notre Dame (SO) has gone a perfect 4-0 against Canyon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Notre Dame (SO) Knights will head out to take on the Canyon Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. Notre Dame (SO) is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Notre Dame (SO) picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against King by a score of 5-2.

Aliyah Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Haley Maldonado, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Alexa Miranda was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Canyon came up short against Chaminade on Saturday and fell 8-3.

Canyon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rose Aguilla, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and two RBI. Aguilla also hit a hit, marking her first of the season. Another was Maci Dunnagan, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

The victory got Notre Dame (SO) back to even at 2-2. As for Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Notre Dame (SO) has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Canyon struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Notre Dame (SO) beat Canyon 4-1 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Notre Dame (SO) since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
