Softball Game Preview: Salado Eagles vs. Silsbee Tigers

The Salado Eagles will head out to challenge the Silsbee Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Salado is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Salado is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Smithville.

Meanwhile, Silsbee got the win against Hamshire-Fannett on Saturday by a conclusive 18-3. Considering the Tigers have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Silsbee pushed their record up to 23-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Salado, their win bumped their record up to 27-5.
