Basketball Game Preview: Amory Panthers vs. Mooreville Troopers

The Amory Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Mooreville Troopers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Amory challenged Ripley on Tuesday. Amory came up short against Ripley, falling 51-31. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mooreville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against North Pontotoc on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 63-59 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Troopers.

Amory's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Mooreville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Amory suffered a grim 68-45 defeat to Mooreville in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can Amory avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
