Football Recap: Venus Comes Up Short

Venus fell victim to Bridgeport and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 70-0 loss at the hands of the Bulls. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 64-14 to the Bulls when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dylan Hunter was his usual excellent self, throwing for 333 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes for Bridgeport. Wyatt Norton also helped with two TDs in total.

Venus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bridgeport, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Venus will host Trinity Leadership at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bridgeport, they will face off against Ranchview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 894 yards in their previous games.
