Volleyball Recap: Marion Picks Up 13th Consecutive Win

Marion had already won 12 in a row and they went ahead and made it 13 on Tuesday. They blew past the West Memphis Blue Devils 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-10, 25-17.

Marion's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but ABBIGALE SIMMONS led the charge by getting five digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was ALLI SHARP, who had nine digs and three assists.

They weren't the only good servers: Marion was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matchups.

Marion's record is now 22-2. As for West Memphis, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marion is set to face off against their familiar foe Mountain Home at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Memphis will square off against rival Greene County Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
