Basketball Game Preview: Montgomery Vikings vs. Washington Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Montgomery Vikings will jump right back in to play the Washington Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Montgomery is headed into Saturday's match hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Windsor. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vikings came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Jaguars are ranked 232nd).

Meanwhile, Washington didn't have quite enough to beat Del Campo on Friday and fell 69-66.

Montgomery's record is now 7-3. As for Washington, their record now sits at 5-3.

Montgomery strolled past Washington in their previous meeting back in December of 2019 by a score of 61-46. Will Montgomery repeat their success, or does Washington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
