Volleyball Recap: New Bern Takes a Loss + How To Watch

New Bern extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 12-8. They lost 3-0 to the South Central Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Louisa Reno paced New Bern's offense, picking up seven kills. Reno got some help from Naomi Banks and her 17 assists. Finally, Reno was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

As for South Central, they now have a winning record of 11-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaibryn Staton, who had 11 digs and three aces. What's more, Staton posted two assists, the most she's had over her last two matchups. Maddie Zobre was another key player, getting seven digs and two aces.

New Bern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against D.H. Conley on the 14th. As for South Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against J.H. Rose on the 14th.
