Basketball Recap: Manchester Beats New London for Their Fourth Straight Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Manchester had no problem doing just that on Sunday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the New London Whalers 77-74. The win was nothing new for the Red Hawks as they're now sitting on four straight.

Manchester's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chance Clark, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 24 points and seven assists. Clark is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Derrick Sheets was another key player, shooting 44% from the field on his way to 20 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

New London lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Dashaun Phillips, who went 7-for-13 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayvon Robinson, who posted 12 points along with eight assists and five boards.

Manchester's record now sits at 24-2. As for New London, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-5.

As of now, neither Manchester nor New London have any future games scheduled.
