Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Takes a Loss

Valley Christian lost against Lincoln back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Valley Christian Eagles took a blow against the Lincoln Lynx, falling 71-20. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-8.

Avery Johnson was Valley Christian's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Carmandee Coghlan took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Lincoln's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Krymzen Dempster, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Remi Dietz, who earned 16 points.

Valley Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Valley Christian will take on Granite at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln has already played their next contest, a 51-38 loss against Helena Christian on the 11th.
