Baseball Game Preview: Clopton Hawks vs. Van-Far Indians

For the second straight game, Clopton will face off against Van-Far. The Hawks will take on the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Clopton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Van-Far get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Hawks have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jacob Harrelson was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Peter Daskalakis, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Clopton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.2 runs over those games. As for Van-Far, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-8.
