Evangel Christian extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Makayla Cranford. The Lightning put the hurt on the Guardian Christian Athletics Angels with a sharp 3-0 win on Saturday with plenty of help from Cranford, who hit 75% for seven kills and 19 aces and six assists. She has been hot, having posted six or more kills the last five times she's played.

Evangel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 16-6-1. As for Guardian Christian Athletics, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Evangel Christian beat the Angels by a score of 3-0 later that day.
