Baseball Game Preview: Severance Silver Knights vs. Mountain View Mountain Lions

For the second straight game, Severance will face off against Mountain View. The Silver Knights will welcome the Mountain Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Severance has three straight wins, Mountain View has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Severance lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mountain View, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Silver Knights put the hurt on the Mountain Lions with a sharp 7-1 victory on Saturday.

Brady Iversen was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Iversen was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Kolton Beidleman was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Severance kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.

Severance's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
