Basketball Recap: Mia Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Greenville H over Carolina Academy

Greenville H was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 47-23 to the Carolina Academy Trojans. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Greenville H's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Williams, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jozlyn Barnett, who earned five points and three steals.

Greenville H's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Carolina Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Carolina Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Travelers Rest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenville H will be paying especially close attention to the Trojans' game: after the Trojans face off against the Devildogs, they'll take on Greenville H again at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
