The Hemphill Hornets are taking a road trip to take on the Onalaska Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hemphill will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Hemphill challenged Chester. in a bug-themed battle on Friday. Hemphill walked away with a 6-3 win over Chester.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Onalaska, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They had just enough and edged out Corrigan-Camden 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since April 12, 2024.

Onalaska is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. The win got Hemphill back to even at 9-9.

Hemphill came out on top in a nail-biter against Onalaska in their previous matchup back in March of 2021, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hemphill since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
