Owego Free Academy got themselves on the board against Chenango Valley on Thursday, but Chenango Valley never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the River Hawks, who have now won five games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Connor Kotski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Evan English was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Dylan Brace was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Owego Free Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chenango Valley only posted an OBP of .355.

Owego Free Academy pushed their record up to 7-2-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Chenango Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Owego Free Academy will challenge Chenango Forks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chenango Valley, they will face off against Seton Catholic Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
