Soccer Game Preview: First Academy vs. Umatilla

The First Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Umatilla Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. First Academy knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Umatilla likes a good challenge.

First Academy's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They put the hurt on Seven Rivers Christian with a sharp 4-0 victory. First Academy haven't had any issues with Seven Rivers Christian recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

First Academy hit Seven Rivers Christian with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Noah Mauriell, Ezekiel Lowe, Yamil Batista, and David Bone.

Meanwhile, neither Umatilla nor North Marion could gain the upper hand last Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Umatilla's draw gives them a new season record of 1-4-2. As for First Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1.

First Academy took their win against Umatilla when the teams last played last Tuesday by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
