Baseball Recap: Jumpertown Comes Up Short

After flying high against Byers last Tuesday, Jumpertown came back down to earth. The Cardinals came up short against the Wheeler Eagles on Saturday, falling 14-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Jumpertown's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Wheeler, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Jumpertown by a score of 15-5 later that day.
