Volleyball Recap: Cooter Takes a Loss

Cooter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the North Pemiscot Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

North Pemiscot's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brea Stone led the charge by getting eight aces. Those eight aces gave Stone a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cheyanne Sawyer, who had 16 assists and six digs.

Cooter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for North Pemiscot, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3-1.

Cooter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Holcomb on the 26th. As for North Pemiscot, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Delta on the 26th.
