Basketball Recap: Hueneme Comes Up Short

Hueneme was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 91-32 loss at the hands of the Righetti Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1278th, while the Warriors are ranked 380th).

Despite the loss, Hueneme still got an impressive performance from Joshua Partee, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Hueneme's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Righetti, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Hueneme wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 83-36 loss against Weed on the 27th. As for Righetti, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-56 victory against Moorpark on the 27th.
