Baseball Recap: West Orange Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

West Orange barely beat Dr. Phillips the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Panthers on Friday. The Warriors have beaten the Panthers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Nicolas Caso and Wrigley Bates dominated on the mound. Caso pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits, while Bates tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Caso has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Miguel Acosta, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Nathan Rich, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

West Orange always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dr. Phillips only posted an OBP of .276.
