Football Recap: Williston-Elko Comes Up Short

Williston-Elko was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans 58-6. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Williston-Elko's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Williston-Elko is set to square off against their familiar foe Wagener-Salley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler will challenge rival Blackville-Hilda at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
