Sunrise Christian Academy Silver skates past Nickerson with ease

The Sunrise Christian Academy Silver Buffaloes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They really took it to Nickerson for the full four quarters, racking up a 87-36 win on the road. Sunrise Christian Academy Silver has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Sunrise Christian Academy Silver got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Canaan McElroy out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marko Pavlovic, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Nickerson's loss came despite strong showings from Alex King and Riley Brawner. King scored 14 points, while Brawner scored nine points along with eight rebounds.

The win was the fifth in a row for Sunrise Christian Academy Silver, bringing their record for this year to 10-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Nickerson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunrise Christian Academy Silver's road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Mary's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Nickerson, they will challenge Kingman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
