Recap: Grace Baptist Academy Golden Eagles vs. Sale Creek Panthers
The Grace Baptist Academy Golden Eagles lost against the Sale Creek Panthers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Grace Baptist Academy opened the new year with a less-than-successful 52-45 loss to Sale Creek. Grace Baptist Academy has not had much luck with Sale Creek recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Leading Sale Creek to victory were Chelsea Levi and Trinity Smith. Levi scored 13 points along with six rebounds, while Smith dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Those 14 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Grace Baptist Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Sale Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Baptist Academy will take on Dalton Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sale Creek, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Sequatchie County at 6:30 p.m. on January 9th.
