Volleyball Recap: Lourdes Central Catholic Beats Lewiston for Their Third Straight Win

Lourdes Central Catholic had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lewiston Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lourdes Central Catholic easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19.

Harper Rutt paced Lourdes Central Catholic's offense, picking up nine kills. Rutt got some help from Josephine Bennett and her 13 assists. Brooklyn Borer controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Lourdes Central Catholic's record now sits at 13-6. As for Lewiston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-15.

Coincidentally, Lourdes Central Catholic and Lewiston will both be playing Pawnee City the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
