Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Josh Pounds stepped things up a notch to give New Castle the 'W'. Laurel had no answer to Pounds as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pounds has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Looking ahead, Pounds and New Castle will be playing at home against Taylor Allderdice at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hurricanes will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 255 places lower in Pennsylvania), but they're not letting that get them down.
