            Hinkley was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Westminster Wolves 90-30. The Thunder lost against the Wolves in their previous head to head  back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the  58-50 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Hinkley lost, don't look at  Malachi Holden. Despite the final result, he  went 5 of 12  to rack up 13  points in addition to eight  boards and three  blocks.

 Even though they lost, Hinkley  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive rebounds in three consecutive  games.
  Devin Szabelski was a one-man wrecking crew for Westminster as he  went 8 for 12  on his way to 20 points and three  steals. Those 20  points gave  Szabelski a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Elyas Romero, who  went 5 of 10  en route to 11 points along with six  steals and five  assists.
Hinkley's record is now 0-16. As for Westminster, their record is now 8-11.
 Hinkley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  56-47  defeat against Pueblo Centennial on the 8th. As for Westminster, they will square off against Northglenn at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Westminster's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last four matches.
