Basketball Recap: Mountain Empire Takes a Loss

Mountain Empire was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Gompers Prep Academy Eagles and fell 72-31. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Redhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-46 back in January.

Mountain Empire's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Gompers Prep Academy, they moved to 4-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Empire will face off against Southern California Yeshiva at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gompers Prep Academy, they will square off against High Tech NC at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
