Moriarty took down Del Norte 53-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Fighting Pintos made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,283 from 6,051. The improvement was largely due to a 53-28 victory over the Knights last week.
Del Norte's Daryl Wiggins needs only 49 yards against Artesia next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Wiggins has rushed for 951 yards on 104 carries so far this year.
An important game coming up in 4A District 5 this week will be when Moriarty takes on St. Pius X. Bob Allcorn's team is in first place, while the Sartans are in third place.
The Fighting Pintos led the league in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on Bruce Binkley's team.
