Football Game Preview: CSTHEA Patriots vs. East Central HomeSchool Patriots

CSTHEA will take on East Central HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

CSTHEA is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Riverside Christian Academy, who was ranked ninth at the time (CSTHEA was ranked sixth). The Patriots claimed a resounding 52-6 win over Riverside Christian Academy. With the Patriots ahead 46-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

CSTHEA can attribute much of their success to Thomas Long, who picked up 38 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Long also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making four total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, East Central HomeSchool didn't have too much trouble with Ezekiel Academy on Friday as they won 31-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

CSTHEA better keep an eye on Barrett Weems. He was instrumental in East Central HomeSchool's win, rushing for 40 yards and one score, while also throwing for 27 yards and one TD. That's the most rushing yards Weems has posted since back in September of 2024.

East Central HomeSchool was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 329 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

CSTHEA's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for East Central HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
