Football Preview: Washington Patriots vs. Fife Trojans        
        
		
             The Washington Patriots will play host again  on Friday to welcome the Fife Trojans, where kickoff is scheduled  at 7:00  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Last Thursday, Washington came up short against Steilacoom  and fell  42-35.
 Despite their  defeat, Washington saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Elijah Latin-Henley, who picked up 86 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. Latin-Henley also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending a pass. Another rusher making a difference was  Leland Sulusi, who rushed for 97 yards on only 12 carries.
 Even if they lost, Washington's defensive line still kept up the pressure with seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Corey Randall and  Toby Lefeau, who racked up  five sacks between them. Randall is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made seven or more in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Meanwhile, Fife was just a  hair shy of victory  on Friday and fell  20-19 to Orting. The loss was the Trojans' first of the season.
 Like Fife, they lost despite seeing results from several players.  Mattson Ducharme led the charge by throwing for 213 yards and three touchdowns.  Kaynen York helped  Ducharme out on the ground, picking up 139 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Washington dropped their record down to 0-3 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Fife, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1.
 Washington skirted past Fife  26-23 in their previous meeting  back in September of 2023. Does  Washington have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fife turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
