Volleyball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield extended their losing streak to nine on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-9. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Pemiscot Mustangs. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

As for North Pemiscot, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-2 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since October 7, 2024.

Cheyanne Sawyer continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, getting 35 assists and nine digs. That's the most assists she has posted since September 4th. The team also got some help courtesy of Brea Stone, who had nine digs and two aces.

Bloomfield has already played their next matchup (against Dexter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for North Pemiscot, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Bernie on the 27th.
