There's no place like home for Central Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They never let the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won nine games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Aislinn Calhoun made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (three). She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Katelyn Easterly was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kieryn Peters, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
