Basketball Recap: East St. John Takes a Loss

East St. John was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Plaquemine Green Devils. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

East St. John now has a losing record at 18-19. As for Plaquemine, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the East St. John Wildcats take on the Independence Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Plaquemine, they will face off against West Feliciana at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
