Orono strolled into their game on Thursday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They never let the Washington Academy Raiders get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Orono's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Maine soccer rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Washington Academy are ranked 91st).

Orono's one-goal win came courtesy of Lucas Hiebeler, who's now up to five this season.

Orono's win bumped their record up to 12-0-1. As for Washington Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Orono will square off against rival George Stevens Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Washington Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
