Volleyball Recap: Piqua Indians vs. Troy Trojans

Piqua lost against Troy back in September, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Piqua Indians took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Trojans. While the Indians didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-23 in the first set.

Piqua started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-13, 25-20, 25-19.

Troy had a senior duo take command as Cema Rajab had nine digs and five aces and Lauren Koesters had 13 digs. That's the most aces Rajab has posted since back in August.

Piqua's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Troy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-9.

Piqua does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Troy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Miamisburg at 7:45 p.m. on October 22nd. Troy is facing Miamisburg at the right time seeing as Miamisburg is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
