Basketball Game Preview: Bremen Braves vs. Sandburg Eagles

The Bremen Braves will venture away from home to square off against the Sandburg Eagles at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Bremen has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Bremen is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since December 19, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Evergreen Park out 68-65.

Meanwhile, Sandburg came up short against Lincoln-Way East on Tuesday and fell 59-50. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Griffins recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Bremen is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Sandburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Bremen came up short against Sandburg when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 70-59. Can Bremen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
