Softball Recap: Johnston City Falls Short of Anna-Jonesboro in the Playoffs

Johnston City and Anna-Jonesboro squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Johnston City had to settle for second. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Johnston City saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Johnston City's loss dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Anna-Jonesboro, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-3.

As of now, neither Johnston City nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
