Basketball Recap: Westmont Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cristo Rey Jesuit last Friday, Westmont came back down to earth. The Westmont Sentinels were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 48-47 to the St. Edward Green Wave. The loss continues a trend for the Sentinels in their matchups with the Green Wave: they've now lost six in a row.

Westmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for St. Edward, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-11 record.

Westmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-52 victory against College Prep of America on the 15th. As for St. Edward, they will welcome Marian Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
