Softball Recap: Faith Christian Takes a Loss

Faith Christian's last matchup with Foresthill could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Lions lost 19-8 to the Wildfires. The Lions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Bella Abken led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Angelina Wilkinson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Foresthill, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Faith Christian will head out on the road to challenge Encina at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Foresthill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leroy Greene Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildfires surely won't give up without a fight.
