Basketball Recap: Kansas City East Christian Academy Find Success

After losing to Wichita Defenders HomeSchool the last time they met, Kansas City East Christian Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Lions came out on top against the Defenders by a score of 54-43 on Saturday.

Kansas City East Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Hailey Frecks, who dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten steals. Brayisha Avery was another key player, putting up six points along with 12 rebounds and eight assists.

Kansas City East Christian Academy now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kansas City East Christian Academy will venture away from home to face off against Faith Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wichita Defenders HomeSchool, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sunrise Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th.
