Softball Recap: Amarillo Finds Playoff Glory Versus Chapin

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Amarillo walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Chapin Huskies with a sharp 15-6 victory on Saturday. Considering the Sandies have won 19 matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Amarillo is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Chapin, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-10-2.

Coming up, Amarillo will challenge Aledo on Saturday. Chapin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
