Basketball Recap: Nipomo Titans vs. Mission College Prep Royals
Nipomo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Mission College Prep Royals 54-25. The Titans were down 45-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Mission College Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gwen Nelson out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Makanani Guy was another key player, scoring ten points along with six assists and two steals.
Nipomo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Nipomo has already played their next match, a 57-36 loss against San Luis Obispo on the 3rd. As for Mission College Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-32 win against Paso Robles on the 3rd.
