Calvary Christian Academy won the last time they faced Covenant Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Patriots came out on top against Covenant Christian by a score of 61-50.

Calvary Christian Academy was led to victory by Izaya Shannon and Jake Shaffer. Shannon shot 83% from the field en route to 22 points, while Shaffer dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Wulf, who posted nine points.

Covenant Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Tristian Guidas, who had 11 points. Jelani Baur was another key player, putting up ten points.

Calvary Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Covenant Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Calvary Christian Academy will challenge Washington County Christian School at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Covenant Christian, they will take on Altha at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
