Baseball Recap: West Oso Takes a Loss

West Oso dropped their record down to 12-9 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 12-2 to the Mathis Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since February 27th.

Kendall Taylor was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

As for Mathis, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-14. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the game before.

On Mathis' side, Duke Bernal was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Bernal is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jozaih Gutierrez, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

As of now, neither West Oso nor Mathis have any future games scheduled.
